Pay range for this position is $34.25 - $51.13/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.

Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY: The Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Institute Registered Nurse will provide expert care for oncology and hematology patients using a multidisciplinary approach. The Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Institute Registered Nurse evaluates and treats oncology and hematology patients, following outlined protocols. The Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Institute Registered Nurse demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patient’s newborn through life. Compassionate care and ongoing professional development are key to success in this role.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Associate degree in nursing
  • Experience: 1 year of nursing experience
  • Licensure/ Certification: Illinois Registered Nurse License, American Heart Association CPR or BLS and PALS certification within 90 days of hire and will comply with institutional requirements for certification and continuing education to support and maintain Cancer Program designation. APHON Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate within 6 months of hire.
  • Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Experience: 1 year or more of Hematology/Oncology nursing
