Job Title: Registered Nurse(RN) - Med/Surg Location: Shreveport, LA 71103 Duration: 3 months+ (contract with possibility of extension) Shift options: 12 hrs - morning or night shifts Job Description: The Registered Nurse serves as a clinical leader in patient care delivery, applying the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code of Ethics, and clinical standards. This role includes delegation, team coordination, patient advocacy, and accountability for quality outcomes. The RN ensures culturally sensitive care and contributes to unit goals while demonstrating professional responsibility. Job Duties: Deliver patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) Educate patients, families, and staff according to individual learning needs Delegate and manage resources (personnel and equipment) effectively Serve as a leader and collaborator on the interdisciplinary care team Use data to drive decisions and support continuous improvement Uphold customer satisfaction and contribute to positive team morale Adapt care and communication to suit patient population diversity Perform other duties as assigned Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years of med / surg exp. Licenses & Certifications Current RN license of LA or compact Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association
