Tenet-AZ Region is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Manager, Endoscopy for a nursing job in Goodyear, Arizona.
Job Description & Requirements

Responsible for the oversight and management of the day-to-day operations of the department. Works with both, staff and patients to promote a healthy and safe work environment. Enforces evidence-based policies, procedures and standards of care. Supervises staff; assists in selection of personnel for hire; performance management, and makes recommendations on discipline and termination. Responsible for executing strategic initiatives including but not limited to scheduling of cases, supplies and equipment, case turn over, intra-departmental handoffs or patient discharge process. Other related duties as assigned.
General Management:
- Supports established goals and objectives that support overall strategic plans of the facility
- Monitors the annual department operating and capital budgets
- Supervises daily operations of assigned department/s
- Supervises performance of staff
- Demonstrates objectivity in decision making, utilizing facts to support decisions
- Supports the mission statement, policies and procedures
- Participates in eliminating boundaries to achieve integrated, efficient and quality service
- Achieves ongoing compliance with all regulatory agencies
- Serves as a resource to employees and customers as demonstrated by visibility and knowledge of issues

- Communicates effectively with all levels in the organization and with inter/external customers
People Management:
- Assists in selection of personnel for hire and promotion; takes appropriate actions regarding counseling, disciplinary actions, demotion and termination
- Supervises, supports and coaches direct reports
- Responds proactively to employee needs and concerns
- Assists with development of “experts” and “expertise” throughout the department and seeks employee input
- Facilitates consensus among divergent groups
- Conveys employees’ strengths and accomplishments
- Assists in evaluating assigned staff performance and competency, providing direct feedback
- Supports competency plans
Department/Business Unit Management:
- Completes schedules to insure an appropriate level of staffing
- Functions as a staff person as necessary
- Maintains appropriate supply levels
- Maintains accurate records of all procedures performed
- Oversees students and other hospital employees visiting the area
- Utilizes resources efficiently and effectively
- Maintains safe environment
- Addresses patient population-specific needs
- Participates in Performance Improvement activities
- Special Skills
- Minimum Requirements
- Experience: 3 years of experience in cardiovascular services.
- Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing and/or accredited school of radiology and/or accredited school of cardiovascular technology.
- Certifications: Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy AART, ACVT or RCIS; BLS.
Preferred Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree.
