Shift Time: 12*3 schedule – Day/ Night shifts available (Every other weekend required)
Pay Range: Up to - $2820 weekly ($75 - $80/hr on w2)
Position Summary:
- We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D Nurse) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and skilled in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in multidisciplinary teamwork, patient assessment, and clinical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maternal and fetal assessments, including monitoring vital signs, fetal heart rate, and contractions.
- Assist with labor management, including supporting natural and medicated births.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and pain management therapies as prescribed.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and families before, during, and after labor.
- Assist physicians, midwives, and nurse practitioners during deliveries and obstetric procedures.
- Monitor patients for complications such as hemorrhage, preeclampsia, or fetal distress.
- Facilitate post-delivery care for mother and newborn, including immediate assessments and interventions.
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record.
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to hospital policies, infection control, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in emergency situations, including neonatal resuscitation and maternal codes.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum Two (2) years Labor & Delivery experience is required.
- Excellent communication, time management, and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR).
Certifications & Licensure (Required):
- Active RN License (State-specific) with Primary Source Verification
- AHA BLS – Basic Life Support
- AHA ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program
