Job Details

We are hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for an inpatient surgical / post-op acute care opportunity in Raleigh, NC. This is a strong role for an RN seeking a structured day-shift hospital setting with consistent patient flow, strong support, and meaningful work caring for surgical and acute care patients.

The RN will care for post-operative and acute surgical patients in an inpatient environment, working closely with surgeons, APPs, nursing leadership, and the broader care team. This role is ideal for a nurse with strong acute care instincts who enjoys patient education, coordination, and recovery-focused care in a team-based hospital setting.

What You’ll Do

Provide direct patient care on an inpatient surgical / acute care unit
Manage post-operative and acute surgical recovery patients
Perform assessments, medication administration, care planning, and implementation
Monitor patient progress and escalate changes in condition appropriately
Collaborate with surgeons, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and care teams
Support discharge planning, patient education, and continuity of care
Maintain accurate EMR documentation and coordinate follow-up needs

What We’re Looking For

Active North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license
At least 1 year of RN experience preferred in acute care, med-surg, surgical, post-op, or inpatient hospital nursing
Strong assessment, documentation, and patient coordination skills
Comfortable in a structured, team-based inpatient setting
Interest in surgical care, post-op recovery, and acute adult patients
BLS certification required; other certifications based on unit standards
