The Registered Nurse (RN) – Float Pool provides high-quality patient care across multiple units within a hospital setting. This full-time, day-shift role supports staffing needs across multiple departments while ensuring safe, consistent, and patient-centered care. The ideal candidate is adaptable, clinically strong, and experienced in high-acuity environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care across assigned hospital units based on operational needs
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders
Monitor patient condition and respond promptly to changes in status
Float to Emergency Department and other critical care areas as needed
Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary hospital teams
Educate patients and families on care plans, treatments, and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Follow all hospital safety, quality, and infection control standards
Requirements:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Prior Critical Care (Emergency Department) experience required
BLS required
Strong clinical judgment, flexibility, and critical-thinking skills
