Our Hemodialysis team cares for patients requiring dialysis treatment and renal-focused medical management in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

This unit is ideal for nurses who enjoy developing advanced clinical skills, building strong patient relationships, and caring for medically complex patients while working alongside a supportive interdisciplinary team. Nurses on this unit play a critical role in monitoring treatments, managing complications, and improving patient outcomes through compassionate, high-quality care.

• Education:
  - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  - 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  - If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
  
  
• Experience: One year of acute nursing experience required.
  
  
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: 
  - Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
  - Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.

• Provide nursing care for patients requiring acute and chronic hemodialysis treatments
• Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatments to ensure safe and effective care
• Assess vascular access sites, including AV fistulas, grafts, and central venous catheters
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies related to renal care and dialysis treatment
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, including fluid imbalances and electrolyte abnormalities
• Collaborate closely with nephrologists, dialysis technicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Educate patients and families on dialysis treatment plans, renal disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications
• Support safe transitions of care and discharge planning for patients with ongoing renal needs
