Registered Nurse (RN) – Group Home

Location: Jamaica, Queens, NY
Position Type: Part-Time
Shift: Overnight | Tuesday | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Position Overview

Bond Health is currently hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for a part-time opportunity in Jamaica, Queens, NY. The RN will evaluate, coordinate, and monitor the health and safety needs of individuals living in a residential group home, ensuring high-quality nursing care while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate medical care and monitor the health status of assigned individuals.
  • Assess, document, and follow up on changes in physical condition and overall wellness.
  • Communicate with physicians, families, interdisciplinary team members, and other healthcare providers.
  • Monitor hospitalizations, emergency room visits, injuries, illnesses, and follow-up care.
  • Attend medical appointments when needed to advocate for individuals served.
  • Develop, update, and maintain individualized nursing care plans and protocols.
  • Oversee medication administration and ensure compliance with medication management procedures.
  • Review medical records, medication administration records (MARs), treatment logs, and related documentation.
  • Monitor dietary and nutritional needs and provide guidance to support staff.
  • Complete nursing assessments, progress notes, and required clinical documentation.
  • Maintain infection control standards and ensure medical supplies are available.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, meetings, and required training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Current unrestricted New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Valid New York State or Tri-State driver's license with a good driving record is preferred.
