Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department
Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Duration: 3 months (with potential for extension)
Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department team. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care setting while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – State or Compact
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply the nursing process to deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based patient care
- Assess patient and family learning needs and provide appropriate education and guidance
- Collaborate with healthcare team members, delegate tasks appropriately, and support team operations
- Utilize clinical data and critical thinking to improve patient outcomes and drive quality improvement initiatives
- Promote patient satisfaction and contribute to a positive work environment and professional nursing practice
- Adapt communication and care approaches based on diverse patient populations, ensuring respect, privacy, and cultural sensitivity
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support department needs
