Registered Nurse (RN) – Diagnostic Imaging (Outpatient)

Location: Rochester, NY 14642
Pay: $2,500 – $2,800 per week
Start Date: 05/11/2026
Contract: Through 08/08/2026 (option to extend)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (Days/Evenings), occasional weekends


Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced RN for an outpatient Diagnostic Imaging unit located in a brand-new ambulatory orthopedic center. This role focuses on preparing patients for imaging procedures including CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine studies.

Practice / Unit Details:

  • Outpatient diagnostic imaging setting

  • Brand-new ambulatory orthopedic center

  • Focus on CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine procedures

  • Patient preparation and contrast administration

  • Lower acuity environment compared to inpatient settings


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures (CT, MRI, nuclear medicine)

  • Start and manage IV access

  • Administer contrast when required

  • Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures

  • Collaborate with radiology and clinical teams


Schedule & Additional Info:

  • 40 hours/week (8-hour shifts)

  • Monday–Friday schedule

  • Evening shifts: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM

  • No nights or holidays

  • Occasional weekends


Requirements (Must Have):

  • Active NY State RN License (required)

  • Minimum 1 year ICU experience

  • Telemetry experience required

  • Strong IV skills and critical thinking

  • BLS (AHA required)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • ACLS (preferred)

  • PALS (preferred)

  • Experience with contrast imaging
