We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse - RN to join our team at our Behavioral Health Crisis Center.\n \nPosition Overview:\n \nWith a shared vision Trinity Health Grand Rapids and Network 180 are standing up a Behavioral Health Crisis Center (BHCC), including a Crisis Stabilization Unit and a Behavioral Health Brief Intervention service to serve residents of Kent County. As an RN at our Behavioral Health Crisis Center, you will play a crucial role in the assessment, intervention, and care of individuals experiencing acute behavioral crises. Your expertise will contribute to creating a safe and supportive environment for clients in need, as well as collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals.\n \nWhat you will work: \n\n Part time\n 24 hours per week\n Day shift\n \nWhat you will do: \n\n Conduct thorough assessments of clients' physical and mental health status upon admission.\n \n\n Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other team members to develop personalized crisis intervention and stabilization plans.\n \n\n Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by medical professionals.\n \n\n Monitor clients' progress and respond effectively to changes in their condition.\n \n\n Provide emotional support, psychoeducation, and coping strategies to clients and their families.\n \n\n Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation and records.\n \n\n \nWhat you will need: \n\n Graduation from an accredited Nursing school and program\n \n\n Associates Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred. \n \n\n In Grand Rapids if ADN must enroll in BSN program within 6 months of hire and complete in 4 years of hire\n \n\n Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in a mental health or crisis intervention setting.\n \n\n Strong understanding of mental health conditions, crisis intervention techniques, and trauma-informed care.\n \n\n Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\n \n\n Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick and informed decisions.\n \n\n Empathetic and nonjudgmental approach to working with individuals in crisis.\n \n\n \nHighlights: \n \nMagnet designated facility with active shared decision making councils.
