Registered Nurse Practice Specialist

Schedule: Day shift | Part-Time

• Serve as the Clinical Nurse Specialist and evidence-based practice expert to improve patient care, patient safety, and nursing quality across assigned clinical areas.
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams and clinical leaders to identify quality improvement opportunities, strengthen care coordination, and improve patient outcomes through best practices.
• Lead evidence-based practice initiatives by implementing clinical guidelines, updating protocols, and supporting quality improvement efforts that enhance direct patient care.
• Analyze quality metrics, patient safety data, and clinical documentation to identify trends, measure outcomes, and drive continuous improvement in nursing practice.
• Coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff through education, unit rounding, and competency support to strengthen clinical excellence and professional growth.
• Collaborate with clinical leaders to implement evidence-based solutions that improve patient outcomes, ensure regulatory compliance, and support high-quality, patient-centered care.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross or American Heart Association accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

• 3 year previous critical care experience preferred.
• preceptor critical care experience preferred.
