Shift: Nights, 3x12 (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced PICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality critical care to pediatric patients in a fast-paced hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work efficiently in a Level 1/2 trauma environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of recent PICU experience (within last 2 years)
- Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Centers
- Active New York RN License (required at submission)
- BLS Certification (PALS required for certain units)
- EPIC experience preferred
- Strong IV therapy and telemetry interpretation skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe and effective patient care in a pediatric ICU setting
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor critical conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care planning
- Administer medications and manage life-support equipment
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital protocols
Additional Details:
- Every other weekend and some holidays required
- Floating may be required based on unit needs
