What You’ll Do
  • Provide expert nursing care to pre-term babies and Level 3 surgical NICU patients
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs and support bedside telemetry monitoring
  • Administer medications and IV therapies using Alaris pumps and Pyxis dispensers
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including RTs, nurse practitioners, PTs, OTs, and CRNAs
  • Follow established protocols to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
  • Document patient care and procedures accurately in Meditech Expanse EMR
  • Participate in weekend rotation and holiday staffing as scheduled
  • Adhere to facility and unit-specific policies, including PPE and safety protocols
What You Need
Required:
  • Valid RN license in State
  • BLS, NRP, NIHSS certifications
  • Level 3 NICU or higher experience
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts

Preferred:
  • Experience in a Level 3 NICU setting
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, critically ill pediatric environment
About the Assignment
Join a team at a leading facility in City, State, caring for pre-term and critically ill pediatric patients in a supportive and well-equipped NICU environment. You will work alongside a skilled team that includes resource nurses, RTs, nurse practitioners, and support staff to deliver exceptional care. The unit operates with a patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:4 based on acuity, with comprehensive orientation including facility training and two days on the unit. This assignment involves weekend work on a rotating basis, on-call duties twice per month, and participation during major holidays.
