    Description

    Job Title: Registered Nurse – Perinatal (RN)

    Department: 647A High Risk Perinatal

    Location:

    Assignment Details

    • Duration: 12 Weeks

    • Schedule: Variable

    • Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

    Candidate Requirements

    • No local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered.

    • Required Certifications:

      • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)

      • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

      • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Provide comprehensive nursing care to high-risk antepartum and perinatal patients throughout hospitalization.

    • Perform thorough maternal and fetal assessments, monitoring patient conditions and responding promptly to changes.

    • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.

    • Monitor fetal well-being using electronic fetal monitoring and accurately interpret and report findings.

    • Collaborate with obstetricians, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, neonatologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.

    • Educate patients and families regarding pregnancy complications, treatment plans, labor expectations, postpartum care, and newborn care.

    • Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR).

    • Ensure compliance with infection prevention practices, patient safety initiatives, and all hospital and regulatory standards.

    • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting the physical and emotional needs of patients and their families during high-risk pregnancies.
