Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – High Risk Perinatal

Duration: 13 Weeks
Location: 1000 Johnson Ferry Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30342

Schedule: Nights | Varies | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours/Week

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recent High Risk Perinatal, Antepartum, or Maternal-Fetal Medicine RN experience required.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
  • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required.
  • Experience caring for high-risk obstetric patients with complex maternal and fetal conditions.
  • Strong assessment, fetal monitoring, emergency response, and maternal-newborn care skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity perinatal environment.
  • No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to antepartum and high-risk obstetric patients throughout hospitalization.
  • Perform maternal and fetal assessments, including vital signs, fetal heart rate monitoring, uterine activity monitoring, and ongoing evaluation of maternal-fetal well-being.
  • Administer medications, intravenous therapies, blood products, magnesium sulfate, oxytocin, and other treatments as prescribed.
  • Recognize and respond promptly to obstetric emergencies, including preeclampsia, preterm labor, hemorrhage, fetal distress, and other maternal-fetal complications.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, neonatologists, anesthesiologists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate individualized patient care.
