Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room provides immediate, high-quality nursing care to patients of all ages presenting with urgent, emergent, and life-threatening conditions. The ER RN performs rapid assessments, prioritizes care, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Licensure & Certifications: • Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida • Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association required • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association required or obtained within a specified timeframe
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience required Prior Emergency Room, ICU, or Critical Care experience strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-pressure environment • Knowledge of emergency nursing protocols and trauma care • Proficiency in IV insertion, medication administration, and cardiac monitoring • Excellent communication and teamwork skills • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care • Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods • Ability to lift, push, or pull patients and equipment • Manual dexterity and visual acuity required
