Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room

Duration: 13 Weeks
Location: 1000 Johnson Ferry Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30342

Schedule: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours/Week

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) RN experience required.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Current AHA BLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification preferred.
  • Must have recent experience circulating a wide variety of surgical specialties, including:
    • Robotics
    • Neurosurgery
    • Orthopedics
    • Plastic Surgery
    • Gynecology
  • Ability to work independently in a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical environment.
  • No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care as the circulating nurse for a wide range of surgical procedures.
  • Perform preoperative patient assessments, verify patient identity, surgical procedure, consent, and operative site according to hospital safety standards.
  • Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all surgical instruments, equipment, implants, and supplies are available and functioning properly.
  • Maintain sterile technique and enforce infection prevention and aseptic practices throughout surgical procedures.
  • Circulate for complex surgical cases, including robotic, neurosurgical, orthopedic, plastic, gynecologic, and other specialty procedures.
