The perioperative anesthesia RN is responsible for assessing, delegating, implementing, evaluating and coordinating anesthesia related patient care activities; serves as resource person for the Anesthesia Department, Perioperative Services, Endoscopy, Labor and Delivery, and Interventional Radiology; attends Anesthesia Department Meetings.
- Require a minimum of four (4) years of perioperative nursing experience in multiple surgical specialties and/or anesthesia.
- Require basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
Require graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) is required within specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045).
- Prefer demonstrated clinical expertise, knowledge and skill in quality and process improvement activities.
- Prefer certification in nursing specialty area.

BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
FL RN: FL Registered Nurse License
ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
