Boulder Community Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Oncology & Urology Department, where you will serve as a dedicated patient caregiver. Within our care delivery system, the RN will apply nursing theories, procedures, and standards to provide comprehensive and compassionate patient care. Qualifications: 

• Colorado RN license in good standing.

•BLS certification required within the 90-day conditional period of hired position.

•OCN certification preferred.

•ONS Chemotherapy certification within 6 months of hire.  

•At least one year of nursing in an acute care setting preferred.

•Acute oncology experience preferred



Responsibilities:

• Provides direct total patient care for specific group of patients with collaboration as needed.

• Demonstrates clinical competence in performing nursing procedures and identifies the rationale underlying the nursing skills.

• Identifies patient care problems, makes interventions based upon an understanding of the biopsychosocial processes.

• Assesses patient status systematically and anticipates and responds to changes in patient clinical condition.

• Actively seeks participation of the patient, family, and other members of the health care team to assure continuity of patient care.

•May be required to perform point of care testing. May be a point of care trainer

•Identifies patient learning needs, develops and implements and individualizes teaching plan for patients.
