Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Two years recent full-time clinical RN labor and delivery experience in an inpatient setting, including high-risk antepartum, labor and delivery, operating room, postpartum, and well baby
  • Active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
  • Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
  • Active American Heart Association ACLS Certification
  • Active NRP Certification
  • Ability to carry out established nursing procedures and perform nursing care for patients with complex needs
  • The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of recent nursing experience, including high-risk antepartum, labor and delivery, operating room, postpartum, and well baby
  • Prior MedSurg, TCU, ICU, step-down experience
  • BSN
  • AWHONN Intermediate FHR completion certificate

License/Certifications:

  • Active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
  • Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
  • Active American Heart Association ACLS Certification
  • Active NRP Certification
