Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will coordinate and provide comprehensive nursing care, including direct patient care, patient and family education, and transition-of-care management.

The RN will be responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients while maintaining high standards of professional nursing practice across various care settings.

This position also offers opportunities for leadership through mentoring, preceptorship, participation in quality improvement initiatives, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and monitor patient progress
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care needs
  • Coordinate transitions of care and discharge planning
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
  • Delegate patient care activities appropriately based on staff competency and patient acuity
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
  • Serve as a preceptor or mentor when needed

Education Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree, Diploma, or Bachelor’s Nursing Program recognized by ACEN or CCNE
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required according to state regulations

Qualifications

  • BLS Certification required
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
  • NRP Certification preferred/required based on department
  • Additional specialty certifications may be required depending on the work area
  • Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Experience Requirements

  • Candidates graduating from a non-ACEN/CCNE accredited program must have at least 1 year of RN experience within the last 5 years
  • If graduation occurred more than 2 years ago, at least 1 year of recent RN experience in a related care setting is required

Minimum Degree Required

Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent from an accredited institution
