    POSITION: NICU RN-- Experience with Level III NICU.

    SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING

    " Shift hours: 3x12s, days. 7a-7p

    " Charting: EPIC experience required

    " Weekend Requirement: May be EOW or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block

    " RTO: ALL requests must be included with the submission.

    " Call off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2-weeks.

    " Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per 13-week contract.

    " Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes.

    " Locals Accepted? No. Refer to Submittal Instructions for radius rule criteria.

    " Pending License Accepted: Yes, only if the candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state. Otherwise, submission must include an active Virginia State or Compact RN/LPN license.

    " IV therapy: Administration of blood & blood products, Arterial line management, Central line blood draw, Central Line/Implanted Line Care, Starting and maintaining IVs, UAC (Umbilical Artery Catheter), UVC (Umbilical Vein Catheter)

    " Medications/Emergency Medications: Anti-Seizure Medications, Antibiotics/Antivirals, IV vasopressors, Neonatal Dosage Calculations, Steroids, Surfactants

    " Ratios: (goals) ICU 1:2. Intermediate is 1:4.

    " Patient diagnoses: Extreme Prematurity 22 weeks+, Omphalocele, Gastroschisis
    Respiratory Distress, Meconium Aspiration, Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension, TE fistula, Diaphragmatic Hernia, Trisomy 21, Cystic Hygroma, Intraventricular Hemorrhage, Necrotizing Enterocolitis, Skeletal Dysplasia, Hydrocephalus, Volvulus, Intestinal Failure, Hyperglycemia, Chronic Lung Disease, Myelomeningocele, Seizures, All patients except those needing ECMO or heart surgery

    " 60 bed Level 3 NICU made of 5 pods. They support both ICU and Intermediate Level care.

    " Equipment: High-Frequency Jet Ventilator, High-Frequency Oscillator, Artic Sun cooling blanket, Tortle positioning aids, Alaris Infusion Pumps, Giraffe Incubators and radiant warmers, Stryker Bassinets, Medfusion Infusion Pumps, Kangaroo Pumps, Client phototherapy lights and blankets

    " Floating: Will be required to float within skillset
