Position Overview:
Impact Recruiting Solutions is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with specialized experience in Hematology /Oncology to join a multi-specialty practice in the Bronx, NY. This full-time position offers a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to provide compassionate, specialized care to patients with blood disorders and cancer.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions.
Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and other oncology treatments safely.
Assess, monitor, and document patient responses to treatments and interventions.
Manage central lines, ports, and other vascular access devices.
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, side effect management, and supportive care resources.
Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation.
Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control standards, and oncology nursing best practices.
Requirements
Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
Licensure: Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license (Required).
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Hematology/Oncology setting as a Registered Nurse.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in chemotherapy administration, central line care, port access, management of oncology-related symptoms, and patient assessment. Knowledge of oncology protocols and safety standards.
Soft Skills: Compassionate bedside manner, excellent communication with patients and families, strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
