Position Summary -----------------
Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit; coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
Responsibilities -----------------
• Completes nursing history and initiates patient education. • Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members. • Implements plan of care appropriate to diagnosis. • Problem solves and coordinates unit/patient care assignments, with supervision. • Introduces new employees/students to unit routines. • Participates on unit-based committee/serves as council representative. • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. • Completes required education assignments annually. • Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested. • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications -------------
Minimum Education -----------------
None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
Minimum Experience -----------------
New graduate within 1st year of orientation.
Licensure Requirement ---------------------
Valid Tennessee license.
CPR Requirement -----------------
CPR required.
