Special Procedures/Unit Details: Medical Surgical Orthopedic and neuro patient population. Most commonly taking care of patients with traumatic hip fractures, elective Spine surgeries, and other traumatic orthopedic injuries. Pre and post inpatient surgical care provided by nursing, including heart monitors, drains, PCAs and Ketamine drips.
Special Equipment: Sara Steady, CADD pumps for ketamine infusion post spine surgery.

Job Overview:

Unit participates in team nursing model where RNs, LPNs, and PCTs partner together to care for a group of patients. The goal of this model is to divide the work and not the patients, ultimately improving both the workload and patient care. Nurses may function in either team nursing or primary nursing depending on the needs of the unit.
Miami Valley Hospital (level 1 Trauma Center)
Must have the following requirements: Must pass an online EKG competency course, BLS required, NIH required, EPIC experience required, 1.5 years exp in a level 1 or 2 preferred.

Floating and Other Requirements:
Traveler will be first to float at Premier's discretion. Agency will float in/out of specialty clusters. It will be assigned a medically appropriate assignment or support the nursing care team of the unit floated to, including high-risk respiratory unit/COVID. If assigned to MVH, this could include floating main campus (Dayton) south campus (Centerville). Traveler must be available to work every other weekend/holiday. Premier Health reserves the right to cancel 2 shifts due to low census per 13-week contract. Premier Health reserves the right to cancel agreement with 2 weeks' notice without fee or fine. Travelers are not eligible for Premier health employee incentives.
Unit Details: Working with Tele/drips-23 bed unit. Unit Description: Hospital: Miami Valley Hospital (Level 1 Trauma Center). Medical Surgical Orthopedic patients most commonly taking care of patients with traumatic hip fractures, elective spine surgeries, and other traumatic orthopedic injuries. Most patients require pre/post-surgical orthopedic care, including heart monitors, drains, PCAs, and Ketamine drips. Also, provide care to any med surg patient/overflow.

RTO:
Request RTO with initial submittal; NO RTO will be added after the offer. RTO approval will be at the Manager's discretion. Submittal email must include application and current Nursys report, and other certs are not needed if listed on the application.
