The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a well-known hospital in Helena, Montana and we are looking for compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) for both 12-hour day and 12-hour night shifts.

The RN is responsible for providing direct, holistic, and family-centered care in a collaborative clinical environment. You’ll assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while working closely with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate treatment.

This role plays a critical part in moving patients through the care continuum while supporting a culture of teamwork, integrity, and clinical excellence.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver compassionate, holistic, family-centered nursing care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient treatment plans based on nursing standards
  • Provide direct patient care alongside experienced nursing leadership, including the Director (or designee) and Charge Nurse.
  • Perform accurate and detailed patient assessments and maintain timely documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
  • Support smooth patient transitions and continuity of care through effective hand-offs and collaboration
  • Work closely with physicians, healthcare teams, co-workers, and the community in a strong teamwork-driven culture to develop and carry out care plans
  • Promote quality patient care and support unit safety initiatives.

  • 12-Hour Day Shift
  • 12-Hour Night Shift 

What We Are Looking For

Education and Experience

  • Relevant experience demonstrating the ability to perform successfully as a staff RN
  • Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing required
  • Nurses caring for orthopedic and spine patients must
    • Meet established educational and competency standards in accordance with DNV Orthopedic and Spine certification requirements
    • Complete specialty-specific education and annual competency validation
    • Participation in continuing education related to orthopedic and spine care is expected, including updates on clinical guidelines, emerging technologies, and best practices.
    • Educational topics may include, but are not limited to:
      • Musculoskeletal system anatomy and physiology
      • ERAS
      • Pain management strategies
      • Mobility and safety
      • Prevention of complications such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), infection, and pressure injuries
      • Glucose management
      • Compartment syndrome

Licensures and Certifications

  • Current Montana RN license required
  • BLS certification required
  • Medical-Surgical or Geriatric Nursing certification preferred
