Job Posting: Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry (Travel Contract)

Location: Cleveland, OH 
Duration: 13 Weeks
Position Type: Travel Contract
Shift: Rotating Day/Night (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3x12-Hour
Orientation: 16 hours (Non-billable)


Job Description

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse for a travel contract assignment at a leading acute care facility. This role involves working rotating day and night shifts and requires flexibility to meet operational needs. The nurse may float to multiple units, including Med/Surg Tele and Emergency Department, to care for similar patient populations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to clinical changes
  • Administer medications and treatments, including telemetry monitoring
  • Float to assigned units as required (including ED for similar patient population)
  • Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced hospital environment

Required Qualifications

  • Active Ohio RN license or Compact State license (in hand)
  • Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in specialty prior to travel assignments
  • Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience (travel experience accepted)
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Strong telemetry and ECG rhythm interpretation skills
  • Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during orientation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oncology or chemotherapy administration experience preferred
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts and adapt to unit needs

Additional Requirements

  • Must be willing to work every other holiday
  • Must comply with vaccination guidelines (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
  • Experience working in high-acuity hospital settings preferred
