Registered Nurse Med Surg

Work Wise Healthcare Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at a Med Surg unit in Round Rock, Texas. 

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality and individualized care to patients.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
• Monitor and document patient's progress and report any changes in condition to the physician
• Educate patients and their families on their conditions and treatment plans
• Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
• Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and their families

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas
• Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg experience
• BLS certification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting

Contract Details:

This is a full-time, 12-week contract position with the possibility of extension. The Registered Nurse will work 36-40 hours per week, with rotating shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.
