How you'll make an impact in this role:
  • Champion Clinical Excellence: Take full ownership of regulatory and accreditation standards, ensuring your unit consistently exceeds safety and quality benchmarks.
  • Cultivate a High-Performing Team: From the initial interview to long-term career development, you will mentor, evaluate, and inspire a diverse staff to reach their full potential.
  • Solve Complex Operational Challenges: Act as the primary "problem-solver," identifying and removing barriers that impact patient flow and care delivery.
  • Drive Strategic Efficiency: Design and implement the policies and procedures that define how care is delivered, ensuring every process is both lean and effective.
  • Steward Departmental Resources: Manage the unit’s financial health, overseeing budget compliance and expenditures with a strategic eye on sustainability.
What minimum qualifications you'll need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.

Education:

  • Required professional licensure/certification AND 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.
What additional requirements you'll need:
  • Proven track record of leadership specifically within an Emergency Department setting. 
  • Understanding of patient throughput and know how to optimize flow and improve the patient experience.
  • While the core schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am-5pm, there is a need for operational flexibility to meet the needs of the department.
