Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery
Location: Middleburg Heights, OH Rate: Up to $2325.00 Gross Weekly + benefits from day 1 Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend & Holiday Rotation Required Contract: 13-Week Contract | Local or Travel Accepted
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
Experience caring for high-risk obstetric patients preferred
Must be willing to float to Postpartum as needed
Licenses/Certifications:
Current Ohio RN License
BLS Required
NRP Required
STABLE Required
NICU/Level II Special Care Nursery Training Preferred
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive maternal and fetal assessments throughout labor, delivery, and recovery
Monitor fetal heart tones, contractions, vital signs, and labor progression
Administer medications and treatments as ordered
Provide education regarding labor, delivery, pain management, postpartum recovery, and newborn care
Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and emergency obstetrical procedures
Provide emotional and physical support to patients and families throughout the birthing process
Provide immediate postpartum care and monitor for complications
Perform newborn assessments and support breastfeeding education
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, and interdisciplinary teams
Participate in neonatal resuscitation and emergency interventions as needed
Maintain accurate electronic medical records and documentation
Follow all patient safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development
Additional Information
On-call per unit needs
Facility may low census up to one (1) 12-hour shift per two-week pay period
Must be able to report to the hospital within 30 minutes if called back after low census
36 hours per week not guaranteed
