Job Title:
Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) with Mother/Baby Experience
Location:
Elmhurst, NY 11373
Duration:
13 week
Shift:
Night 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 07:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and postpartum patients.
Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery.
Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
Deliver immediate postpartum and newborn (Mother/Baby) care.
Educate patients and families on childbirth, recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed.
Maintain accurate patient documentation and electronic health records.
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and infection control practices.
Required Qualification:
Minimum two (2) years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
Experience in Mother/Baby (Postpartum) care required
Strong clinical skills in labor monitoring, postpartum care, and neonatal assessment
Ability to work night shifts and weekend requirements
Current Certifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License (State-specific)
Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Required (AHA)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – Required
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous travel nursing experience
Strong experience in high-acuity Labor & Delivery settings
Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Distance Requirement:
