Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.​

  • Assesses patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled and/or as needed, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status. ​
  • Assesses patient environment for any safety risks and/or non-compliance with regulatory standards. ​
  • Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention. 
  •  ​Serves as an example of professional nursing practice and promotes pride in nursing for the organization, the community, and the health care industry. ​
  • Demonstrates caring and empathy in all interactions and advocates for patient- and family-centered approach in all decisions and actions. 
  • ​Participates in professional practice activities and advocates for shared governance functions. 
  • ​Functions as a good steward of financial resources by effectively managing supplies, equipment, length of stay, and throughput. ​ ​
  • Assumes personal accountability for work time. ​ ​
  • Performs other duties as assigned. ​​​​​​​
  • Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” and “Mission and Value Statement.” 

What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (RN) Registered Nurse
  • Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
