• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 2 months (with potential for extension)
• Pay Rate: $70.00 $75.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Day shift, hours vary between 8:00 AM 4:00 PM and 9:00 AM 5:00 PM depending on the day; 40 hours per week guaranteed
• Travel Requirements: Must have reliable transportation; traveler may drive their own vehicle or carpool with the care partner. Must be willing to float to all CHL locations within a 38-mile radius.
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This is an ASAP-start contract nursing role with a primary focus on assessments in a Home Health setting. The RN will complete MDS or OASIS assessments at home and/or in the office and will have a care partner to support them. With the exception of new admits, the care partner typically has an established history with the patient. This position requires no hands-on care; the RN is responsible for assessments for insurance/programs and to make care plans. There could be other duties, including medication reconciliation. Flexibility is key with this position, as the hours could change.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete MDS or OASIS assessments at home and/or office
• Work alongside a care partner who typically has an established history with the patient (except for new admits)
• Conduct assessments for insurance/programs and to develop care plans
• Perform medication reconciliation and other duties as assigned
• Float to all CHL locations as needed (38-mile radius between locations)
• Maintain flexibility with scheduling, including weekends as needed

Required Skills

• Experience with MDS or OASIS assessments
• Reliable transportation (ability to drive own vehicle or carpool with care partner)
• Willingness to float to all CHL locations within a 38-mile radius
• Flexibility with scheduling and hours (hours vary between 8 4 and 9 5 depending on the day)
• Willingness to work weekends as needed
• Preference given to candidates with no RTO (Request Time Off) restrictions

Preferred Skills

• Psych experience (helpful but not required)

Education Requirements

• Permanent Massachusetts (MA) RN License required
• BLS certification required

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• No hands-on patient care required
• Community-based setting; RN will work at patient homes and/or office
• Must have reliable transportation for travel between patient locations and CHL sites
• Flu vaccination required (Medical/Religious exemptions and declinations allowed)
• COVID-19 vaccination: Not required
• 40 hours per week guaranteed

Important Notes

• ASAP starts ONLY 8/17 (or before) start dates only
• Position has a hard end date of 9/30 at this time but may be extended
• Preference will be given to candidates with no RTO; flexibility is key
