Summary of Services
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide Services within the Health Services Department, Federal Medical Center-Carswell (FMC-Carswell), which consists of the following locations: Inpatient Unit (NCC 1/2), Specialty Care Clinic, Outpatient Clinic (OPC), Mental Health Units (M1, M2, M3), and the Administrative Unit.
All duties shall be performed in accordance with standards and methods generally accepted within the field of Registered Nurse services, and in compliance with all Federal and State policies and regulations. The contractors shall adhere to all standards and regulations of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and the American Correctional Association Foundation/Core Standards for Adult Correctional Institutions (AIC).
Working Hours

Attire
The Registered Nurse is expected to wear professional clothing while on duty (scrub uniforms are approved, must be navy blue). The Registered Nurses are prohibited from wearing
khaki or green clothing of any type, as this is the color of clothing the AIC wears. The attire worn shall also be appropriate for the correctional environment in which the contract employee will be performing.
