What You’ll Do
As a Float Pool RN on the Night Shift team, you’ll provide exceptional care while supporting various departments throughout the hospital. Your responsibilities will include:
- Applying the nursing process to deliver high-quality, patient- and family-centered care across multiple units through assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Collecting, verifying, and organizing patient health information to support informed clinical decisions and effective treatment
- Delivering direct patient care in a clinical setting while collaborating closely with the Unit Director, Manager, and Charge Nurse to ensure quality outcomes
- Conducting thorough patient assessments and maintains timely, accurate documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaborating effectively with physicians, colleagues, and cross-functional teams to promote a positive and patient-focused care environment.
- Maintaining competency and flexibility to support multiple specialty areas, including
- Behavioral Health
- Clinical Decision Unit
- Either Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as the second RN or
- Women's & Children's Services (Couplet Care and Pediatric Psych)
- Adapting quickly to changing patient needs and clinical environments
What We’re Looking For
- Active Montana Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum of two years of acute care RN experience required
- Ability to independently manage responsibilities within a Float Pool/Patient Care Services role
- Strong critical thinking and adaptability in fast-paced settings
- Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire
- Certification in Med/Surg and/or Geriatric Nursing preferred
