Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) with a strong background in orthopedic joint replacement, specifically hip and knee arthroplasty. The RNFA will provide advanced intraoperative surgical assistance and perioperative patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Preoperative:- Review patient records and imaging- Ensure readiness of equipment and implants- Assist with positioning and sterile prep
Intraoperative:- Assist in Total Knee and Hip Arthroplasty- Provide retraction, suction, and exposure- Perform tissue handling, hemostasis, and closure- Support robotic-assisted systems
Postoperative:- Apply dressings and assist with recovery- Monitor and document patient status
Qualifications:
- Active RN license- Completion of RNFA program- CNOR preferred; CRNFA preferred- 2–3 years orthopedic OR experience- BLS and ACLS required
Skills:
- Knowledge of joint anatomy and procedures- Experience with implant systems- Strong teamwork and surgical skills
