Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER)

Location: Vineland, NJ
Contract Length: 15 Weeks
Start Date: August 24, 2026
End Date: December 5, 2026
Shift: Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Schedule: 36 Hours/Week (3x12)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week


Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 15-week travel assignment in Vineland, NJ. The ideal candidate will have extensive Emergency Department experience, be comfortable caring for both adult and pediatric patients, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume emergency setting.

This position requires strong emergency assessment skills, critical thinking, and experience managing trauma, stroke, and critically ill patients using advanced emergency care equipment.

Unit Overview

  • 70-Bed Emergency Department
  • Adult & Pediatric Patient Population
  • Critical Care Equipment (Ventilators & BiPAP)
  • Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4–5
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Scrub Color: Navy

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, triage, and provide emergency nursing care for adult and pediatric patients.
  • Manage high-acuity medical, surgical, trauma, and critical care emergencies.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments.
  • Operate and monitor critical care equipment, including ventilators and BiPAP.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Perform accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR.
  • Maintain compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and emergency department protocols.

Required Qualifications

  • Active New Jersey RN License or Compact RN License
  • BSN Required
  • Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department experience
  • Previous travel nursing experience (at least one completed travel assignment)
  • Epic experience required
  • High-volume, fast-paced Emergency Department experience preferred
  • Current AHA BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • NIHSS Certification
  • 8 Hours Stroke CEUs
  • 8 Hours Trauma CEUs
  • Certifications must be active at submission (no pending or expiring within 30 days)

Assignment Details

  • 15-Week Contract
  • Night Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
  • 36 Guaranteed Hours/Week
  • Weekend rotation: Every other weekend or 3 weekends/month based on department needs
  • No Holiday Requirement
  • Maximum 3 RTO Days
  • No Block Scheduling or Special Scheduling Requests

Orientation Requirements

  • Completion of all orientation requirements is mandatory.
  • Virtual New Employee Orientation and HealthStream modules must be completed as scheduled.
  • In-person classes are required during orientation week.
  • Failure to complete orientation requirements will result in cancellation of the assignment
