The Endoscopy Registered Nurse will support pre-procedure, intra-procedure, scrub & circulator, and post-procedure recovery patient care responsibilities. The IU Health North Endoscopy unit supports procedures with pediatric and adult patient populations in a fast-paced environment. We provide upper and lower GI procedures, endoscopy procedures, bronchoscopies, and mobility and pain management patient care services for pediatric and adult patients.

We are a 4-suite department where our nurses collaborate with endoscopists, anesthesiologists, anesthesia RNs, and operating room assistants to provide quality care to our patients.

Shifts DAY shift available On call requirement Weekday Call Hours: Monday through Friday 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM Weekend Call Hours: Saturday and Sunday are covered 24 hours each day.

Qualifications Requires: Associates of Nursing (ASN) Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Education The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.

Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).

Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.

Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.

Requires Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
