Job Title: Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER)
Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
Unit: Emergency Department
Duration: 13 Weeks (Extendable)

Shift Details:

  • 36 hours per week
  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
  • Every other weekend required
  • Rotating holidays required
  • Note: No RTO permitted during the week of July 4

Weekly Compensation: Up to $2,800 (based on experience)


Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to manage complex patient cases effectively.


Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive patient documentation
  • Perform ongoing patient assessments including physical, psychological, and social needs
  • Develop and communicate care plans with interdisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrate proficiency in charge nurse responsibilities when required
  • Use computerized nursing informatics systems effectively
  • Serve as a resource and mentor for staff, including orientation and training support
  • Participate in staff meetings, mandatory training, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Monitor and evaluate patient care quality and outcomes
  • Adhere to safety protocols including infection control and blood/body fluid policies
  • Maintain ongoing professional development and continuing education
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience
  • At least 1 year of travel ER RN experience
  • Strong skills in IV administration, IV starts, ventilator care, and telemetry monitoring
  • Successful completion of pharmacology and basic arrhythmia exams (as required by facility)
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Certifications Required

  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS
  • TNCC

Preferred Certifications

  • ENPC
  • PALS
  • De-escalation Certification (preferred)

  • Requires strong teamwork, adaptability, and clinical decision-making
