Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawaiis only maternity newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawaiis leader in the care of women, infants, and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6000 babies a year and is also a medical teaching and research facility.

Specialty services for patients throughout Hawaii and the Pacific Region include:

Over 1400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapiolani. The hospital is home to the Kapiolani Womens Center and the Womens Cancer Center, and offers numerous community programs and services, such as:

Kapi'olani Medical for Women & Children has a team of board-certified emergency medicine physicians and the only pediatric emergency department in the state of Hawai'i, treating approximately 16000 patients a year. The Emergency Room provides recognized excellence in emergency care to pediatric patients as well as those needing specific womens services. The emergency staff is trained to diagnose patients and refer them to other specialists within the hospital when necessary.

If you are a compassionate, sensitive caregiver and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment, you could be the ideal candidate for our Registered Nurse position at Kapi'olanis Emergency Room. You would provide nursing services through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of patient care. You would also function as an associate to a charge nurse and eventually assume charge nurse responsibilities. Minimum Qualifications:

• Current Hawaii Registered Nurse license • Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS) CPR cards • One year of recent registered nurse experience in an Emergency Department setting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two years of recent registered nurse experience in an Emergency Department • Bachelors degree in Nursing or related field and/or an equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience • Pediatric Emergency Room or Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience
