Location: Lubbock, TX 79410
Schedule: Night Shift – 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Duration: 13 Weeks (Extension Possible)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Job Overview
A leading acute care hospital in Lubbock, TX is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join a high-acuity emergency department within a Level II Trauma Center environment. The RN will provide rapid assessment, stabilization, and emergency care for patients with acute illnesses, trauma, and critical conditions.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care for trauma and acute care patients
- Perform triage assessments and emergency interventions
- Administer IV medications, vasopressors, and respiratory treatments
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to emergency situations
- Care for stroke, STEMI, trauma, respiratory, and critical care patients
- Document patient care using EPIC EMR
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- First-time travelers accepted with 2+ years of ER experience
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program
Certifications & Licensure
- Active RN License or Compact RN License
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- PALS Certification
- NIHSS Certification
- TNCC Certification
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center
- Skilled in ventilator care, stroke care, triage, and cardiac monitoring
- Experience managing dysrhythmias and emergency response situations
- Weekend coverage required
- Block scheduling available
