We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our dynamic team in Great Falls, Montana. As an ER Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing immediate care and support to patients in emergency situations. Your expertise and quick decision-making abilities will be essential in stabilizing patients, assessing their conditions, and ensuring the best possible outcomes. Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive assessments of patients upon arrival, collecting vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints. Prioritize patient care through effective triage, ensuring critical cases receive immediate attention. Administer medications, treatments, and physician-ordered interventions while monitoring patient responses and adjusting care plans accordingly. Perform emergency and life-saving procedures such as CPR, intubation, and wound management as necessary. Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care. Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions. Accurately document patient care, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, in compliance with hospital policy and regulatory standards. Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment such as defibrillators, EKG machines, and ventilators. Adhere to infection control, safety, and emergency response protocols. Demonstrate flexibility in working rotating mid and night shifts within a fast-paced emergency environment. Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Montana or compact state eligibility. Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room (ER) experience required. Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification required (or willingness to obtain prior to start). Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain calm and provide effective care in high-pressure situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
