- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Current, active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in any U.S. state or territory
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross)
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Minimum of 1 year Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last 3 years
- Ability to obtain and maintain clinical privileges at the Medical Treatment Facility
- Proficiency in emergency nursing procedures, including IV access, medication administration, and patient stabilization
- Experience performing patient assessments, triage, and managing acute and emergent conditions
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays in a 24/7 emergency care environment
- Provide direct, age-specific patient care in the Emergency Department in accordance with physician orders, established protocols, and MTF policies
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including history, vital signs, and clinical evaluations to support diagnosis and treatment
- Administer medications, including titration of critical care IV medications, and monitor patient responses
- Initiate and maintain intravenous access, including peripheral lines and advanced access devices as appropriate
- Assist with and support emergency and critical care procedures, including airway management and advanced life support interventions
- Perform diagnostic and point-of-care testing, including EKGs, venipuncture, urine testing, and blood gas collection
- Provide nebulized respiratory treatments and assist with respiratory interventions as required
- Assist providers with sterile procedures and specialized emergency interventions
- Apply appropriate patient isolation protocols and infection control procedures
- Monitor and operate emergency medical equipment, including fluid warmers, rapid infusers, and other specialized ED equipment
- Participate in emergency response situations, including cardiopulmonary arrest and trauma care
- Document all patient care and clinical activities accurately in electronic medical record systems (CHCS, AHLTA, MHS GENESIS)
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment, including preparing and restocking treatment areas
- Support clinic operations, including patient flow, specimen handling, and coordination with ancillary departments
- Participate in quality assurance, training, and professional development activities as required
