    Job Description:

    • $15,000 Sign-On Bonus * For Eligible Candidates
    • $10,000 Relocation Bonus * For Eligible Candidates
    • Collaborates and promotes timely patient placement by following hospital policy for patient admission, discharge, and transfer. 
    • Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health/situation and unit-specific data for process improvement initiatives.
    • Develops, individualizes, and prioritizes the patient’s plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family, and health team members.
    • Implements identified plans for patients and unit-specific process improvement with appropriate nursing interventions and physician orders in an accurate, timely manner.
    • Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the delivery of nursing services.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • The Float Pool RN will display proficient clinical skills and critical thinking skills with strong communication skills. [Required]
    • Mental and emotional stability, demonstrating a courteous and calm approach to all contacts with patients, visitors, and health care team members. [Required]
    • Mature judgment and the ability to handle confidential information within guidelines and applicable regulations. [Required]
    • Personal qualities such as kindness, compassion, understanding, integrity, respect, sense of humor, discretion, and confidentiality. [Required]
    • Ability to communicate verbally in English and in written form with persons of varied backgrounds in a respectful, effective, and professional manner. [Required]
    • Ability to learn and apply computer-related applications and programs, including using electronic keyboards and other peripheral devices. [Required]
    • Critical thinking/problem-solving skills. [Required]
    • Must have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care that addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age-appropriate needs of the patient population served within the department. [Required]
    • Basic computer skills. [Required]
    • Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills. [Required]
    • Previous experience with electronic medical record systems [Preferred]
    • Previous EKG Interpretation Class [Preferred]
       

    Education:

    • Associate's of Nursing [Required]
    • Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

    Work Experience:

    • 1+ recent and relevant experience [Required]
    • 2+ Critical care experience [Preferred]

    $32.16 - $56.28
