As a EKG Registered Nurse, you will support the RN Supervisor of in-house EKG operations South Austin Medical Center and associated Free Standing Emergency Rooms.
You will assist in EKG database management.
You will assist with EKG acquisition and education within the hospital and outpatient clinic.
You will assist with patient referrals, registration and order entry.
You will ensure all EKG carts across the hospital and clinic settings comply with established quality standards.
You will help resolve concerns of staff, ancillary departments, patients, physicians, and families.
Job Requirements
Experience
1-3 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting – preferred
Experience in EKG databases (Heart Suite, Epiphany) - preferred
Excel experience preferred
Education
Associates of Science in Nursing (ADN) – required
Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) - preferred
Licenses and Certifications
Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License. If Compact License, Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required per St. David’s Healthcare policy
