• Pay Rate: $70.00 $75.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Night (3x12 Hours), 19:00 7:30; scheduling is based on the needs of the unit absolutely no block schedules can be accommodated

Job Summary

This is a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) travel nursing assignment at a hospital campus in Worcester, MA. The facility will accept a conditional MA license, with the understanding that the traveler is actively working through the full process to obtain a permanent license. Minimal RTO is needed, with a desired length of 3 5 days. The facility will accept contracts with lengths of 13, 20, or 26 weeks.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a cardiac surgery ICU environment encompassing vascular surgery, cardiac medicine, advanced heart failure, and mechanical circulatory support (IABP, Impella, ECMO, durable VAD)
• Float to other adult ICUs as needed
• Work every other weekend and holiday per unit requirement
• Chart using the Epic electronic health records system
• Complete and pass a pass/fail tele test at orientation (1 attempt only)

Education Requirements

• MA RN license required (conditional MA license accepted while actively pursuing permanent licensure)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required

Required Experience

• Minimum 2.5 years of ICU experience required
• Must have experience with mechanical circulatory support (IABP, Impella, ECMO, durable VAD)
• Must have Cardiovascular ICU experience

Required Skills

• Proficiency with Epic charting system (required)
• Ability to manage patients requiring advanced mechanical circulatory support
• Flexibility to float to other adult ICUs as needed
• Availability for every other weekend and holiday coverage

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• High-acuity cardiac surgery ICU setting encompassing vascular surgery, cardiac medicine, advanced heart failure, and mechanical circulatory support
• Scheduling is based on the needs of the unit; block schedules cannot be accommodated
• Float requirements to other adult ICUs as needed
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed)

Important Notes

• Traveler will be required to pass a pass/fail tele test at orientation with only 1 attempt failure results in immediate contract implications
• Facility accepts conditional MA license with the expectation that the traveler is actively working through the full process to obtain a permanent license
• Minimal RTO needed; desired RTO length is 3 5 days
• Facility accepts contract lengths of 13, 20, or 26 weeks
