Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawaiis only maternity newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawaiis leader in the care of women infants and children. With 243 beds the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6000 babies a year and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawaii and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1500 employees and more than 630 physicians provide specialty care at Kapiolani. The hospital is home to the Kapiolani Womens Center and the Womens Cancer Center and offers numerous community programs and services such as specialty pediatric clinics the Kapiolani Child Protection Center and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center.
The Resource team provides quality comprehensive patient care in an assigned facility covering for regular staff members that for a variety of reasons are unable to attend to their normal positions. The Resource Team provides clinical and nursing support and encompasses a broad skill set that enables members to float to various areas in the hospital or clinic. If you are a compassionate sensitive caregiver and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment you could be the ideal candidate for our Registered Nurse position. You would provide nursing services through the assessment planning implementation evaluation and documentation of patient care. You would also function as an associate to a charge nurse and eventually assume charge nurse responsibilities.
