Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology

Duration: 13 Weeks
Location: Northside Forsyth Cancer Center
1100 Forsyth Drive, Suite 140, Cumming, GA 30041

Schedule: Days | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 5x8-Hour Shifts | 40 Hours/Week

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Oncology RN experience required.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification required.
  • Chemotherapy Certification required.
  • Must have experience administering chemotherapy and biotherapy in an outpatient oncology setting.
  • Strong knowledge of oncology nursing, infusion therapy, central line management, and symptom management.
  • Excellent patient education, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
  • No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients receiving chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive infusion treatments.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments before, during, and after treatment, monitoring for adverse reactions and changes in clinical status.
  • Safely prepare, administer, and monitor chemotherapy in accordance with established oncology protocols and safety standards.
  • Access, maintain, and manage central venous access devices, including PICC lines, ports, and central venous catheters.
  • Administer medications, blood products, hydration therapy, and supportive treatments as prescribed.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medication management, potential side effects, symptom management, and home care instructions.
