Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
Follows and initiates standing orders/protocols approved by the medical director
Manages all health information and health care at the school
Communicates with parents/guardians in a timely manner regarding medical issues
Coordinates and supervises the in-school care of concussed students with their doctor, parents, division heads, school advisor, teachers, and the YCDS athletic trainer.
Documents student visits, physician notes, and any other information using Blackbaud, the school's computerized database.
Distributes over-the-counter and prescription medications as necessary.
Safe disposal of biomedical waste.

Demonstrates good organizational skills in the preparation of daily work schedules and the assignment of duties and responsibilities
Ability to effectively work with and through physicians, subordinates, customers, and other personnel in a cooperative, collaborative manner in order to improve patient care outcomes
Ability to efficiently and effectively manage multiple tasks
Ability to work in a fast paced, patient care environment
Demonstrates ability to promote quality improvement through development and maintenance of standards
Ability to maintain professional conduct in all work-related and/or emergent situations
Experience working with computer systems
